This beautiful Gothic Revival structure was built in 1888 by the firm of Marshall & Walters as St. Mark's Episcopal Church, and in the mid 20th-century became St. Michael & St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
For many years, it had fallen into disrepair, and until we bought it recently, many thought it would be condemned.
The first necessary step was to fix the roof, which was leaking like a sieve. After a hard-fought battle, we can declare our first victory.
Although still a work in progress, this grand dame of Ft. Greene is beginning to look like her old self.
